Each are being considered with the manager's job at the Premiership title holders following the former manager's resignation on the start of the week.

The Manager's Position on The Scottish Club

McKenna referred to the Glasgow giants as "a really big football club" but emphasized he is "in the middle" of a "long-term project" with Ipswich Town.

The mid-thirties took charge of Ipswich in 2021 and guided the team to the English top flight with back-to-back promotions, but they managed only a handful of victories last season as they were demoted back to the second division and they presently occupy twelfth place in the Championship.

"I have not had such conversations," the English capital native ex- Irish youth international said when asked about being on Celtic's shortlist.

"This isn't a matter I have considered seriously, or where any portion of my focus is currently.

"I have a special position here at a remarkable club. And we're at a crucial phase of the season. Everything outside of that hasn't reached my radar."

Context and Agreement Details

It has been suggested that McKenna would be open to speaking to the Scottish side given his childhood support.

"Growing up, we all have our affinities," he said when questioned about those. "I don't think all people has to publicly and declare what they were, but of course it's a massive sports organization."

McKenna agreed to a new four-year contract in 2024 and was asked about his alleged buyout clause.

"In every manager's contract, there are provisions," he responded. "I'm unaware what my specific terms are and, if I did, I wouldn't tell you anyway!

"I approach this job like I will remain Town's coach indefinitely. I know that's not always going to be the case, but I'll always give maximum effort as long as I remain in position."

Bellamy's Situation

The former striker represented Celtic on loan from the Magpies in the mid-2000s, but the former Wales forward is minded to finish the current global tournament qualification, a stance that would practically eliminate the mid-forties from assuming the Celtic job.

Wales are presently third in their qualifying group behind group toppers Belgium and runners-up North Macedonia.

Wins over Liechtenstein and their rivals in next month would secure their place in the final qualifying round, but they are virtually assured of reaching that stage, thanks to a successful Nations League campaign, should they not finish as Group J second place.

Given his current stance, Bellamy, whose contract expires after Euro 2028, would not be available until following the qualifying matches at the earliest.
